Things to do...

Ironbridge is a World Heritage Site and there is so much to see and do!

The Best Western Valley Hotel is a 3 star country house hotel, set on the banks of the River Severn in the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, surrounded by stunning award winning parkland. This Georgian listed building was once the home of Arthur Maw, a famous tile manufacturer, and examples of his work can be found in the hotel foyer.

Less than 10 minutes walk down river from the hotel is the now World famous Iron bridge itself. This bridge has become a symbol of our bygone Industrial Heritage , the atmosphere of which has been recaptured by the many and varied Ironbridge Gorge Museums Sites. All the museum sites are within easy walking distance, or a short drive away from the hotel. The Valley Hotel pre-dates the famous bridge by a quarter of a century and has historic links with the Darby family. The Valley Hotel's unique and sympathetic refurbishment blends ideally with the hotel's historic location. One-time servant quarters and stables have been 'absorbed' by the main hotel to provide 'mews style' accommodation, accessed by glass covered walkways.

The Chez Maw Restaurant is a stylish and relaxing place to dine offering excellent 2 AA Rosette awarded cuisine and a high standard of service. The A La Carte menu offers a wide variety of dishes with English and Continental influences, with a good selection of vegetarian dishes available. Our extensive wine list offers a selection of New World and Classic wines to complement your meal. Catering for up to 60 guests, the dining room has the benefit of an adjacent bar area that leads onto the patio overlooking stunning parkland and the River Severn.
