Join florist Nigel Whyles for an inspiring autumn floral demonstration, then create your own arrangement in a pumpkin to take home. Afterwards, settle in for seasonal afternoon tea for two before enjoying a relaxing overnight stay in the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge.

Come for the flowers. Stay for the food, the scenery and a little time away together.

From £169 per room. Add a second workshop place for £30, so you can both create an arrangement to take home.

The floral event and afternoon tea take place from 1 pm on 21 October. Choose the night before for a leisurely start to your day, or stay afterwards and turn a memorable afternoon into a cosy autumn break.

With historic streets, riverside walks and independent shops nearby, there’s plenty to enjoy while you’re here. It’s a chance to step out of the everyday, try something creative and savour the season together.

Ironbridge will allow you to relive the past, and experience the many cultural attractions and museums in the local area. Less than 10 minutes walk down river from the hotel is the now World famous Ironbridge itself. This bridge has become a symbol of our bygone Industrial Heritage , the atmosphere of which has been recaptured by the many and varied Ironbridge Gorge Museums Sites.

All the museum sites are within easy walking distance, or a short drive away from the hotel. The Valley Hotel pre-dates the famous bridge by a quarter of a century and has historic links with the Darby family.
